Learning by doing

This fruit kills me.

It's so Baloo.

On Capri I learned – the hard way – that when pealing it you need to be careful so the microscopic prickles (or are they called thorns?) don't move over to your fingers.

They are normally called thorns, but these are alnost hairs! In Morocco, men had carts of these, and peeled them for you right then and there. I learned their trick, and do it myself every so often here.

They're hairs alright, or thinner even. Invisible really, at least to my eyes. Annoyingly painful.

Morocco is great, it was my first non-European country to visit, with some high school friends at the age of 16. When did you go?

Took the husband and kids in July/August.
Yet another shameless plug for my blog - click the "Morocco" label on the right side, will take you to my posts from the trip...

Thanks for your Moroccan story, I read it with great pleasure!
