Hurra

Two dear friends from Portland, Oregon arrived yeasterday, and one from Örebro/Paris. The picture is from a parade we set up in the rainy San Michele gardens.

La Migliera runs where the ancient Roman road went, from Capodimonte, where ”our dear home” San Michele is, and the Phoenician stairway ends (or starts, depending on where you begin. By the way, Phoenician is not correct, the Greeks or the Romans built it).

Walking towards Belvedere, in love, at dusk, is ideal for romantic sunsets in front of you, views of Ischia to your right.

Leaving in less than a month.

Two pictures from my last (first) visit to the Sorrento peninsula and Capri in 2005. This was in November. The marble sculptures at the Villa Cimbrone were wrapped in plastic and the Mediterranean was completely swimmable still. I expect October to be even more of everything.
